ABOUT

Kelly Brogdon Geyer

Chief Adaptability Officer & Advisor to CEOs and Leadership Teams

I don't run transformation programs.

I help organizations stop needing them.

THE WORK

I spent years helping organizations transform. â€‹

Then I started asking why kept having to.

Most transformation programmes are well-designed, well-funded, and well-intentioned. They also tend to deliver results that unravel within 18 months. Not because the work was wrong - but because the organization was never built to hold it.The problem isn't the transformation. It's that organizations are set up like buildings. Fixed structures, rigid hierarchies, governance frameworks bolted on top. When something needs to change, you call in the contractors, vacate the floor, absorb the disruption, and wait for the renovation to finish. Then you do it again one year later.

"The goal isn't a better renovation. It's an organization that doesn't need one."

What I do now is different. I work with CEOs and leadership teams to cultivate adaptive capability - the organizational equivalent of an immune system. Not a framework you install, not a methodology you follow, but a living way of operating that continuously senses what's changing and responds before the pressure becomes a crisis. I work systemically - as interested in the patterns and dynamics surrounding a problem as the problem itself.

The organizations I work with come out of our engagement more capable, more self-sufficient, and less dependent on external support than when we started. That's the whole point.

A NOTE ON LANGUAGE

Most organizations talk about themselves using building vocabulary - infrastructure, governance, foundations, structures. That language reflects how they currently operate, and it's where most diagnostic conversations have to begin. I use that vocabulary too, because meeting people where they are matters.

But the destination is different. The work is about moving from infrastructure toward ecosystem conditions, from governance toward decision clarity, from executing and sustaining toward continuous flow and self-correction. The language shifts as the organization does. That's intentional.

I've worked across 22+ countries in banking, financial services, telecommunications, construction, manufacturing, health insurance, amd digital experience. I've led SAP implementations, M&A integration, AI adoption, M365, Agile transformations, and culture change. I've seen what works, what looks like it's working, and what organizations tell themselves is working while the walls are clearly crumbling.

I hold a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) credential and am recognized by Thinkers360 as a Top 10 Global Thought Leader in Transformation. I'm based in Austria and work globally.

HOW I WORK

My work draws on systemic thinking, change management, Agile, project management, and direct experience leading transformation across industries and cultures. Not as methodologies to apply - as ways of seeing.

In practice, that means I pay as much attention to the dynamics surrounding a problem as to the problem itself. The structure nobody questions. The pattern that keeps repeating. The thing leadership knows but isn't saying out loud. That's where adaptive capability either lives or doesn't.

STRATEGIC COLLABORATORS

While I personally lead most engagements, I maintain strategic partnerships with specialists who complement my work when organizations need additional expertise.

Why I work with collaborators:

Cultivating organizational adaptive capability sometimes requires specialized expertise beyond my core focus. Rather than be all things to all clients, I maintain strategic partnerships with practitioners I trust deeply. When engagements would benefit from additional capacity or complementary expertise, I bring in collaborators who share my values of creating client capability, not dependency.

No template, no pitch deck. Just a direct conversation about what's not working and whether I can help.
